What is Java Programming Language ?
Java is a simple and yet powerful object oriented programming language created by James Gosling from Sun Microsystems(Sun) in 1991. The target of Java is to write a program once and then run this program on multiple opera ting systems. Java programs use the Java virtual machine as abstraction and do not access the operating system directly. This makes Java programs highly portable. Except the primitive data types, all elements in Java are objects. Java source code is transferred into the byte code format which does not depend on the target platform. These byte code instructions will be interpreted by the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). The JVM contains a so called Hotspot-Compiler which translates performance critical byte code instructions into native code instructions. Using java programming we can create simple website or android applications also. The Java language specification specifies the syntax for the Java language.
Why do we use Java Language ?
Java is object oriented programming language which provides many features like inheritance, class, object, encapsulation, abstraction, etc. These features are more helpful for creating any applications easily.
As a general purpose programming language, Java offers a number of features that make the language well suited for use on the Web. Small Java applications, called applets, can be downloaded from a web server and run on your computer by a Java-compatible Web browser.
Java was built with the philosophy of "write once, run anywhere" (WORA).
Java provides secure platform for developing and running applications. Automatic memory management reduces memory corruption and vulnerabilities. Provides secure communication by protecting the integrity and privacy of data transmitted.
Who should go for this course ?
All IT and CS Graduate and Under Graduate Students.
All other Students who want to learn Programming Language and Android.
What will I learn?
Easily create any application. Mature ecosystem with lots of libraries and frameworks.
Modular maintainable applications and reusable code.
Higher cross-functionality and portability as programs written in one platform can run across desktops, mobiles, embedded systems.
Creation of any complex application.
Java is a programming language and computing platform first released by Sun Microsystems in 1995. There are lots of applications and websites that will not work unless you have Java installed, and more are created every day. Java is fast, secure, and reliable. From laptops to datacenters, game consoles to scientific supercomputers, cell phones to the Internet, Java is everywhere!
Java is a widely used programming language expressly designed for use in the distributed environment of the internet. It is the most popular programming language for Android smartphone applications and is among the most favored for edge device and internet of things development.
