IBPS PO exam is conducted by the Institute for Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to select eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officers (PO) in various public sector banks. Today, IBPS is a prestigious institute that has complete control over the recruitment, placement and promotion of candidates at public sector banks.
Bank PO is the Officer Post of Probationary Officer in Banks. It is the starting level appointment of a bank officer.

Educational Qualification for Bank PO
A candidate with a Graduation Degree in any branch / stream from a University recognized by the
Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The
final result of their Graduation Degree must be declared on or before September 2018.
In case a candidate is awarded with CGPA/OGPA, they must convert it into a percentage (nearest
to 2 decimal places) and mention it in the application form. If a candidate has secured 59.99%
marks, it will be treated as less than 60%.
Calculation of Percentage:
The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semesters / years by aggregate maximum marks multiplied by 100. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided based on Honors marks only.
Note: There is no restriction on the number of attempts in IBPS PO Exam. A candidate can attempt the exam as many times as he wants, until he surpasses the IBPS PO Age Limit.
Test Duration & Pattern (IBPS CWE PO 2018)
a. Preliminary Exmination
Time Duration: 1 hour
Negative Marking: 1/4th of the marks deducted for every incorrect answer
Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.
b. Main Examination
